Saturday afternoon hand-spinning sessions

For Beginners and Improvers

Terms & Conditions

The aim of the sessions is to introduce you to the craft of creating yarns from raw fibres.  We will begin with various types of wool, progressing over the months to plant and other animal fibres.

We will start with the ancient craft of finger-spinning, work on different types of drop-spindle and then when you’re ready, practise on a spinning wheel.

We will also learn a little about the history and background of the production of textiles.
